Okay...

Okay... so I've wanted to post this picture for awhile... but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate given that while it's tasteful... Grayson isn't wearing any clothes.  I was stalking one of my favorite photographer's blog today and saw that she posted a tasteful "nude" of her 2 year old daughter... so I feel like I've got a "thumbs" up to go ahead and share it.

Gray crashed one of my showers a couple of weeks back (okay... he crashes every shower I take now... I mean... the kid can hear the water running even if he's on the other side of the house with a door closed)... so, during our shower, he told me he wanted some "orange" ice cream when he was clean.  "Okay"... I said.  So, I opened the door and proceeded with my post-shower rituals and Grayson disappeared.  About 5 minutes later... I just about stepped into the kitchen when I saw this... clearly he didn't waste anytime getting into the freezer and pulling out the ice cream.   Fortunately my camera was downstairs... and just as he was sticking the large "salad" spoon into the container... I yelled "Grayson" and snapped the picture... this one was printed "BIG" as well... LOVE IT...

Maddox...

Just wanted to share this picture of my beautiful boy... taken in the bathtub of all places (light coming from an opposing window) with a white sheet held behind him... (inspired by a new book I picked up... Portraits from the Gap Collection... this book ROCKS with photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Herb Ritts, Steven Meisel, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Michael Jansson, Michael Thompson, and Albert Watson)...  Anyway... as you know... I don't do studio (although I might attempt it one of these days... but with natural light)... but I thought this would be fun to try...

Best Mother's Day ever...

Do you remember the age when you got excited about "giving presents"?  Zoe is at that age... and let me tell you... she went all out for Mother's Day.  And it took everything in me not to be a total dork in her eyes and bawl like a baby.  A week ago we were at a neighborhood garage sale (gotta love "springtime" garage sales)... and I was instructed to go to the car and "wait" for her.  I told her not to waste her "birthday" money there... but she insisted.  After about 15 minutes... Zoe got back in the car... with a bag... I rolled my eyes a bit... annoyed... but I let it go.

Then... this past Saturday night... at 11:00 p.m... she was skittering about the house... There was cutting and taping and rustling.. and very large messes were being made in different rooms... "ZOE... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?... IT'S 11:00 O'CLOCK... GO TO BED!!!"

Well... the child that is never up until after 10:00 a.m. on the weekends was bounding out of bed at 7:45 a.m. yesterday morning.  "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" she yelled... bag and card in hand... the look on her face... well... that is where it took everything just to keep it together.  She was so excited...

Well, the things that were bought "with her own money" at the garage sale are now things that I will cherish for a lifetime...  and the excitement on her face... I will never forget it.

We have a tradition on Mother's Day... every year we go to the Village Inn (instead of a formal brunch)... and then we head over to Creques' to purchase flowers for the summer.  But as you can see... the WEATHER SUCKED BIG TIME... so, we came home... and I tortured everyone with "27 Dresses"...

It was one of the longest days I've had... I guess because all I did was sit, eat and do nothing.

IT WAS A LOVELY, LOVELY DAY!!!

I hope all of my moms... especially my "first time moms".. had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

A few from this morning...

It was a busy, two session morning this morning... the first session began at 8:30 a.m.  YOWZA!!!  Today was Miss "S's" bat mitzvah... a very special day for this 13 year old girl...

These were taken at the JCC... and if you've been out there... there isn't a ton to work with with regard to texture and color.  I made due with two trees... and a wooden vine structure that were outside the temple.  The upside was... light couldn't have been more amazing.

Here are just a few...

I am currently looking for Senior Reps (applicable to both Juniors and Seniors from all local high schools) who want something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in SENIOR PORTRAITURE... (no laying in the grass, or leaning against a tree... just some very cool pictures).  Please contact me if you are interested in becoming a Senior Rep / 419.345.9071 or kelleelaser@yahoo.com.

THROUGH THE MONTH OF MAY, FOR EVERY "SENIOR REFERRAL" SESSION BOOKED, YOU WILL RECEIVE $50.00 OFF YOUR OWN SENIOR SESSION... just think, if you get 5 other seniors to book a session... you've paid for nearly HALF of "THE SENIOR SESSION"... or you are taking a considerable size chunk out of "THE ROCKIN SENIOR SESSION"...

For more information about Senior Portraiture... or to see some of my work... please go to my website @ www.kelleelaserphotography.com / galleries / older ones

The "M" family...

Mom sent me an e-mail informing me that she was getting absolutely no work done as she was checking every 1/2 hour to see if I had posted any "favorites"... well, we can't have that :)

The splash page above... I LOVE IT... why... because the "M" boys remind me so much of mine.  The oldest... quiet and reserved (although he probably doesn't stick dog bones in their vaccum bag)... while their youngest just flies by the seat of his pants...

Here are just a few favorites from Saturday morning...

I'm back...

Wow... what a week... I have a ton to post... my favorites from Saturday will be posted a bit later in the day (I haven't forgotten about you "M" family :)

But first... I wanted to tell you about my "Triathlon Special"... if you follow my "Twitter"... you'll see that I'm back training for the Sylvania Triathlon that takes place in August.  I did the "sprint" one last year... and I am hoping to get in enough training to do the "BIG" one this year... (don't hold me to it...)

Last year's race took place on my 38th birthday... and I can't begin to tell you how good I felt after I finished it... it was quite an accomplishment... and yet very doable.

And so... I'd like to share this experience with someone... give someone who's thought about doing it before... but just needs a little motivation to commit.  The first person to e-mail me indicating they intend to do this race will receive "THE BIG TEN | $450.00" package... just in time for Fall pictures.

There are just a few stipulations:

1.  Must be a "mom"...

2.  Must be your first triathlon...

3.  Must be willing to write a little about your training experience up to the race and how it felt to finish it (and yes... I will be sharing this on the blog :)

So who's up for it? E-MAIL ME.

On this "feel good" note... I wanted to share this (I found it on one of the blogs I stalk :)... if you were ever an Ally McBeal fan (yes... I'm that old)... it is going to remind you when David E. Kelley first discovered Josh Groban... truly a voice from God...

">

After I finish up with my 2 mini sessions this morning... I will post a few favorites from Saturday's session...
